| Both suppository and capsule are made of same ingredients. Since suppository is applied via the rectum, the medicine is absorbed directly from the blood vessels at the rectum. Its therapeutic effect is thus faster and it needs lesser dosage. Moreover, as the medicine bypasses the digestive system and the metabolic process of the liver, the liver will not be burdened. On the other hand, capsule is more convenient to use but its dosage and spending will be more. However, no matter suppository or capsule are taken, the result of the treatment would be the same. |
